- Present Indian immigration statuc: ECNR, etc. - check your password. It should be ECNR if you've travelled this far... :)
- 16).Alien registration card number/Employment registration card number_____ (i dont have any of these numbers)
Don't recollect needing any of the above numbers.
- In our case, it was new passport in lieu of lost passport.
If you get in early (i.e. before they close for lunch, but preferably as soon as they open) they'll help you out with all that - generally nice & friendly folks in CGI.

2) if they send you an RFE for job during the time that you are out of eligibility and you cannot prove an offer of full time employment, your 485 could be denied. But, this is a grey area... some say you just need an offer. others say you need to have a job...
3) if you work without ead, you will be working illegally.
4) by law, you have to show original documents to your employer regarding work authorization. so, you need to have the card in hand... but if you dont and your case hinges on that little technical gap, you may be able to argue in court that you were authorized to work, hence legal, but you have committed an erroneous i-9 submission (is that a crime? i dont know).
even i am in a situation thats a little bit like yours, my ead expires aug 10 and i applied for renewal on june 17th. so i could possibly face a 7 day gap in work authorization (i hope not).

It is next to impossible since it is a part of the constitution. It is very difficult to change something that is linked to the constitution. So, ignore this "BARKING DOG."

The webfaxes are effective! I just got off the phone with Senator Chambliss' immigration department. The person I spoke with (can't remember his name) mentioned the usual spiel: They were working on increasing the H1-B cap. They didn't seem aware of the retrogression issues. I clarified the problems we are facing and how they shouldn't be combined with illegal immigration and H1-b issues. He mentioned that the senate (with Senator Chambliss' help) passed legislation a couple of months ago to recapture visa numbers and was waiting for the House to pass the same measure. Is that true? In any case, our message is reaching the corridors of power. Good job guys!
If my memory serves me right, I think Chambliss was a part of the conference committee for S1932. I would be very surprised if his staff didn't know that these provisions were taken off from that bill.

I am surprised to see that you worked for this employer for last 6 years and this is the state of your relationship... Did he paid for all the legal fees or was it paid by you??

My FP was done on 09/21 and there is no LUD neither on my I-140 nor I-485 which is pending. Concurrently filed both I-140 and I-485 on July 2nd.

The reason for my infopass is its been more than 90 days since I filed for EAD. There is one option specifically for this scenario. When I selected this option I am getting "No appointments available" message for the past one month.
May I know what is the reason for your infopass?. Is your infopass is due to the delay in EAD renewal process?

such mistakes are not uncommon, i have seen instances in the past where they will accept corrections if you write a letter with a clear explanation. A note of caution when i called USCIS in the past to inquire about sending corrections, they cautioned me to wait until i have a receipt, they said, otherwise the stuff may get lost in mail and will be un-traceable.
